Knitted in Scotland by a manufacturer with over 125 years of knitwear expertise, this substantial 3-gauge fabric combines 90% wool with 10% cashmere. The chunky cable-knit construction creates a richly textured surface, with alternating cables and intricate knitted motifs giving the fabric depth, structure and a distinctly tactile character. Naturally insulating and breathable, wool provides warmth and resilience. A brushed finish further softens the yarn, lending the knit a comfortable, gently fuzzy surface, while cashmere introduces additional softness and refinement to the handle.

The Cable Knit Pattern

Originating on the Aran Islands off Ireland’s west coast, the cable knit (often referred to simply as “Aran”) is a traditional pattern with more than a century of history.
